The wonders of Homeopathy

This natural and safe form of medicine was developed by the German physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, at the beginning of the 19th century. The term Homeopathy was first mentioned in his 1807 essay ‘Indications of the Homeopathic Employment of Medicines in Ordinary Practice’, published in the Hufeland's Journal (vol. 26, pt. 2).
Homeopathic remedies are made by diluted materials (herbs, flowers, minerals, animals, etc.) and have no side effects, therefore they are safe to be used by people of all ages, including babies, and during pregnancy.
💧Every remedy has a vibrational energy, which is recognised by our body even when diluted many times.
💧More than 5.800 remedies have been proved through homeopathic pathogenetic trials (HPTs).
🌱Homeopathy supports a sustainable, clean ecosystem. Good for us and good for our environment.
What is Vital Force?
A healthy person is someone who has the ability to adapt to changes. When we are out of balance (physically, emotionally, mentally, environmentally or due to genetic inheritance) it means we are not able to cope or to adapt.
For instance: starting in a new job or in a new school, the end of a relationship, the loss of a loved one, climate changes, an argument with a friend, moving to a new city, carrying undesirable responsibilities, a new diet or physical activity, smoking or using drugs, going through financial difficulties, etc. If their vitality, their energy (we call it Vital Force) is strong, they can adapt and deal well with the changes. If on the other hand their Vital Force is out of balance, disturbances and blockages start to build up in the body, leading to various symptoms and illnesses.
💧The essence of Homeopathy is to improve the person’s Vital Force and encourage the body to heal and repair naturally.
Is there a homeopathic remedy for each problem?
No. Below I use anxiety as an example to explain to you why not.
There are many homeopathic remedies that could help you deal with anxiety, to name a few: Aconite, Argent Nit, Arsenicum Album, Calcarea Carbonica, Gelsemium, Lycopodium, Passiflora, and Phosphorus. But people experience anxiety in different ways, and their symptoms might include: sleeplessness, worries, fear, speaking in public, thinking about past events, difficult breathing, IBS, trembling, excessive sweating, agorafobia, etc.
During the consultation the homeopath will make notes and select a couple of the patient's symptoms, prioritizing what needs to be addressed at the time and following a holistic approach, which means considering the person as a whole (including their mental and emotional manifestations, food preferences, and general symptoms as well as the physical ones). The best indicated remedy will be the one that covers most of the symptoms.
So to Maria, who has to run to the loo all the time she has a presentation at work, I might recommend Arg Nit or Lycopodium; but to Elizabeth, who worries about her health and has a history of breathing difficulties, the remedy Arsenicum would be a better option.
💧Symptoms are the way the body communicates something is out of balance. Listen to your body, acknowledge your symptoms.
Homeopathic appointment with me:
Prior to your consultation I will ask you to fill out an online patient's form, with questions related to you and to the symptoms you are experiencing. During the appointment I will ask about your general health, medical history, level of energy, emotional state, lifestyle, likes/dislikes and diet.
Once our time comes to an end I will study the case and prepare the remedies to post them to you (mostly free of charge). Eventually, I might ask you to purchase a specific remedy from a homeopathic pharmacy, or any other health supplement (homeobotanical, mother tincture, cell salt, etc.) to support your recovery.
Please, do get in touch if you have any doubt or if you would like to book an appointment.
🍋 Love, Juli 🌷
